Yes, Jetpac is a legitimate travel eSIM seller. Its terms name the company as Jetpac (Circles Global) Pte. Ltd., part of the Circles group, and it sells data-only eSIM packs for 200+ destinations through its website and the Jetpac Global app. You install the eSIM once and buy a new pack for each trip. The catches are real but manageable: there's no regular SMS, your phone must be eSIM-compatible and unlocked, and once you install the eSIM, refunds are limited to technical faults.
Key takeaways
- Identifiable company: Jetpac's terms say its eSIMs have been sold by Jetpac (Circles Global) Pte. Ltd. since March 1, 2024.
- Data only: traditional SMS isn't supported. Calls need a separate Voice pack or an internet calling app.
- Refunds are narrow: an installed eSIM counts as used. You can ask for a refund or replacement within 30 days of purchase if it can't be installed or used because of a technical problem.
- Free perk: SmartDelay gives you an airport lounge pass if a flight you registered is delayed by an hour or more, as long as the airline reports the delay.

Both sell data-only travel eSIMs. Your phone must support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked. eSimania isn't available to readers in Australia through our link.
Who runs Jetpac?
Jetpac's terms and conditions say the eSIMs are resold by Jetpac (Circles Global) Pte. Ltd. with effect from March 1, 2024. Before that date, sales were made by Liberty Wireless Pte. Ltd., another subsidiary of the same parent company, Circles Asia Pte. Ltd. ("Pte. Ltd." marks a Singapore private company.) So you're buying from an identifiable telecoms group, not an anonymous reseller. Buy only on jetpacglobal.com or in the official Jetpac Global app.
How Jetpac works
- Check your phone. Jetpac says your phone must be eSIM-compatible and carrier-unlocked. Our eSIM compatibility guide shows how to check.
- Buy a pack for your destination on the website or in the app.
- Install the eSIM straight after purchase, ideally at home on Wi-Fi. Jetpac suggests leaving the line switched off until you land.
- Turn on data roaming for the Jetpac line when you arrive. The pack activates when it connects to an allowed network abroad and lasts for its validity period.
- Keep the eSIM. For your next trip you buy a new pack; you don't need to install a new eSIM.
Jetpac's FAQ says a pack can be activated any time within three months of purchase. It also says hotspot sharing is allowed, that there's no fair-usage cap on the data you buy, and that apps such as WhatsApp, Google Maps, Uber and Grab keep working even when your data runs out. Speeds are typically 4G/LTE, with 5G in some places, but Jetpac says it can't guarantee the connection in every location. For a full walk-through, see how to set up a travel eSIM.
What Jetpac doesn't do
- No regular SMS. You can still message over WhatsApp, iMessage and similar apps using your data. Banks that send one-time codes by SMS send them to your home SIM, so keep that line on (with its roaming off) if you need the codes. Our guide to keeping your WhatsApp number with an eSIM explains how.
- No phone number for calls by default. Jetpac sells separate Voice packs; its FAQ lists them from USD 1.99 for outgoing calls to 50 countries.
- No refund for unused data. When a pack's validity ends, the remaining data is gone.
Jetpac's refund rules, in plain English
Jetpac's website advertises a "100% Moneyback Guarantee", but read the terms before relying on it. The refund section of its terms PDF says:
- Once you've installed the eSIM, it's considered used and no refunds are offered, except in the case below.
- If the eSIM can't be installed and used because of a technical problem, you can ask for a refund or a replacement. You must work through troubleshooting with Jetpac's support team first, and request the refund within 30 days of purchase.
- No refund or replacement is given if the eSIM fails because your phone isn't compatible.
- No refund or compensation is given for data left over when a pack expires.
Some versions of Jetpac's documents describe a broader money-back promise. If a refund matters to you, ask support to confirm which policy applies to your order before you install, and keep the answer with your receipt.
The SmartDelay lounge perk
SmartDelay is Jetpac's free extra. Register your flight in the Jetpac Global app before you travel. Jetpac's help pages say to do this at least 24 hours before departure (one older FAQ says 2 hours, so register early to be safe). You can register up to 2 flights per data pack and add 1 companion. If the airline reports a delay of at least 1 hour, or cancels the flight, you're emailed a LoungeKey voucher for a lounge at that airport. Jetpac says LoungeKey covers more than 1,100 lounges.
The catch: the voucher is triggered by the delay the airline reports to FlightStats, Jetpac's flight-data provider. If the airport screens say one thing but the airline doesn't report it, no voucher is issued. Treat it as a nice bonus, not a reason to buy.

Before you buy: a 5-point check
- Confirm your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked. This is the most common reason an eSIM fails, and it isn't refundable.
- Work out how much data you need with our travel data guide, so you don't overpay.
- Compare the price for your exact destination and trip length with at least one other provider.
- Install at home, label the line "Travel", and leave it off until you land.
- Turn data roaming on for the Jetpac line only, and keep roaming off on your home line to avoid charges.
If something goes wrong after you land, work through our eSIM troubleshooting steps before deleting anything, because a deleted eSIM may not be reinstallable.
