Travel eSIM Guide is a free, independent guide to staying connected abroad: travel eSIMs vs roaming. It is published by Smart Savings Guides, a small independent editorial team that runs a group of free, plain-English guide sites. We aren't affiliated with the companies we write about unless we say so.

How we research
We start from official and primary sources: Apple and Android device documentation, carriers' published roaming terms, eSIM providers' own plan pages, and official passenger-rights pages from the EU, the UK Civil Aviation Authority and the US Department of Transportation. Each article shows the date it was last reviewed, and articles that rely on official sources list them at the end. Our editorial policy explains how we research, fact-check and update every page.
How we make money
Some links on this site are affiliate links. Our affiliate partners are OGAds, which powers the optional bonus downloads: the bonus unlocks after you complete a sponsored app, offer or survey, and we earn a commission when you do; and MaxBounty, whose tracking links we use for the recommended products marked as sponsored: we earn a commission if you sign up, buy or are approved through them. Commissions come at no extra cost to you, and they never decide what we recommend: we describe risks, costs and free alternatives either way. See our affiliate disclosure for the details.
What we are not
Plans, prices and passenger rules change. Check your carrier, eSIM provider or airline before you travel. This isn't legal advice. We don't publish fake reviews, star ratings or testimonials, and we don't claim credentials we don't have.
Privacy
This site has no accounts, forms or newsletter and runs no analytics or advertising scripts of its own. See our privacy policy.
